"Fine Thread" 160cm x 120cm Oil on Canvas 2015

The work is symbolic. Black and white squares remind us of the duality of being, duality in everything. A square is a symbol of two dimensions (two sides are equal), a symbol of the plane also a square in semiotics is a symbol of the earth. 

The forms on the canvas also indicate to us the similarity with the chessboard, which in its way is a metaphor of the game. 

The external form of man against the background of these symbols is a mannequin, which carries a very simple function - the representation of clothes . By itself dressing, changing clothes - this is a masquerade as long as the life is. The "fine thread" once again reminds us of the games of people and the symbolism of the world. 

In the continuation of the series of works "Mannequins" the author develops the idea not only about the figurative image of people, but also links them to the basics of painting with an emphasis on the 3 primary colours, which are the basis of all shades and colors.
